Curated conversations for women shaping climate decisions

Women in Climate convenes small, high-trust gatherings for senior women working across climate risk, finance, data, policy, and technology.

These are not conferences or open networking events. They are intentionally designed forums for insight, challenge, and connection, grounded in real-world experience and commercial reality.

Led by experienced women and built with the next generation in mind, our gatherings reflect a simple belief: when credibility and intent come together, influence follows.

As part of New York Climate Week, Women in Climate convened a curated, off-the-record gathering of senior women working at the intersection of science, technology, finance, and policy.

Hosted at Swiss Re’s New York City office, the event brought together experienced practitioners to explore how scientific innovation is shaping climate decision-making across markets and institutions, and how women are leading that change in practice.

The evening featured insights and discussion with Dr Annesha Chowdhury (Program Director and Lead Conservation Scientist, Women’s Earth Alliance), Barbara Wortham (Senior Manager, PwC), Gillian Mollod (Senior Principal Product Manager, ICE), Natalie Lord (Principal Climate Scientist, Fathom), and Karena Vaughan (Chief Sales Officer and Head of ESG and Climate Risk, Fathom).

Designed as a relaxed, invitation-led forum, the gathering prioritised candid conversation and peer-level exchange among senior women shaping climate outcomes in their respective fields.

Women in Climate: Building Influence

London | 27 Mar 2025

Women in Climate convened a curated evening discussion focused on how women build influence within climate risk, finance, and decision-making roles.

Held in London in partnership with Swiss Re, the event brought together senior women working across risk management, financial markets, and climate innovation to explore what influence looks like in practice, how it is earned, and how it can be used responsibly.

The discussion featured contributions from Jo Paisley (President, Global Association of Risk Professionals), Natalia Dorfman (CEO, Kita), and Lisa Eichler (Head of Physical Risk and Nature Solutions, MSCI), each bringing distinct perspectives from regulation, entrepreneurship, and global financial data.

Structured as an intimate, invitation-led gathering, the event focused on practical insight rather than performance. Discussion centred on how influence is built over time through credibility, trust, and domain expertise, and how experienced leaders can use it to shape decisions and create space for others.

Celebrating Women’s Impact in Climate Risk and Sustainability

London | 2 Jul 2024

Swiss Re and Fathom brought together leaders from capital markets, insurance, and engineering for an invitation-only gathering celebrating the impact of women working in climate risk and sustainability.

Hosted in London, the event recognised the growing contribution women are making to understanding, managing, and mitigating climate risk, while also acknowledging the structural barriers that have historically limited visibility and progression in the sector.

The evening featured a panel discussion with Darshita Gillies (Founder and CEO, Maanch), Amy Barnes (Head of Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy, Marsh), and Bethany Hughes (Marketing Manager, Innovate UK Business Connect), who shared perspectives on building careers in climate, emerging challenges and opportunities, and the importance of diverse leadership.

Designed as a senior networking forum, the event combined insight-led discussion with informal conversation, creating space to recognise progress, surface shared challenges, and inspire future leadership across the climate risk and sustainability ecosystem.
